Understanding available inventory

If your supplier has chosen to manage specific inventory quantity, you will see the inventory and will not be able to order more than what is available. You can tell when a supplier has managed their inventory in the Products tab under the Inventory column. This will show a number rather than "Available," "Limited," or "Unavailable." Ask your suppliers to manage inventory to give you a better sense of what you can get. 

How it works

Inventory will show up in several places:

  • In Products, you can add more than allowed to the cart, but you will not be able to place the order.
  • In Cart, you will see the warning if the inventory does not exist.
  • The inventory is not reserved for you when it is in the cart. You must place order to reserve that inventory.
  • In Orders, you can edit order and add or reduce quantities of some products.
